Celeste Curran is a second-year PhD student in Art and Archaeology of the Mediterranean World. She specializes in Eastern Mediterranean Bronze Age studies. Whether it’s examining the roles Hatshepsut’s daughter occupies in various royal decorative programs, following ceramic scatters around gorges on Crete, or studying hieroglyphic inscriptions from around the Mediterranean world, she keeps herself busy both at Penn and in her fieldwork abroad. In her first year, Celeste was an AAMW representative for SASGov; she serves now as the Vice President of Operations. Outside of work, you can find her swimming, playing the harp, or telescoping.
