Aaliyah Khan is a fourth year PhD candidate in the Rappe group at the Chemistry Department. Her research topics include looking at how light interacts with materials through modeling and simulations and the interactions at material surfaces and interfaces through molecular dynamics. Aaliyah has served as VP Operations her first year in SASGov and is excited to take on the new role. Her goal as VP of Finance is to support SAS graduate students—whether that means helping them to secure research funding or making sure events like Jingle Mingle are a good time! 

When not staring at a computer screen all day, Aaliyah likes to read (real books) and listen to audiobooks and podcasts, explore the Philadelphia food scene, and go on nature walks.
